Fred worked at the Ford Motor Company in Brook Park, retiring in 2006 after 48 years of service. Mr. Lewis enjoyed the outdoors, favoring camping and fishing. He also found great enjoyment in travelling to casinos and working on cars. He is survived by his sons, Darin Lewis of Wellington, Dean (Dottie) Lewis of Orange Park, Florida and Dwayne (Jennifer) Lewis of Avon; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and brother, I.M. Lewis of Wooster. Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Virginia; daughter, Dawn Marie Lewis in 1967; parents, Isaac and Pearl (nee Bennett) Lewis; brother, Alloy Lewis; and sisters, Bessie Brunner and Ella Locke. Service will be held in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11 A.M., where family will receive friends Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 3 to 7 P.M. Interment will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Brunswick. Fred F. Lewis, 74, passed away at his home in North Ridgeville on Saturday, August 18, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He was born December 28, 1937 in Unicoi County, Tennessee and has lived in North Ridgeville since 1971, moving from Brunswick.
