Shirley moved to Bellevue during high school, where she was a 1943 graduate of Bellevue High School. She lived in Nova for over 45 years. Shirley worked at the Reed House Restaurant in Nova, Gilbert Hardware in New London, and Hawkins Market Bakery in Ashland. She was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. She is survived by her children, Steve Hager and Mark (Edie) Hager, all of Ashland, Bruce Hager of Wellington, Sheila (Sam) Chronister and Pam (Dave) Bright, all of Hayesville; her former daughter-in-law, Connie Hager; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollen W. Hager; her sister, Evelyn Heisler; and daughter-in-law, Mary Hager. Private family services will be held at a later date. Shirley R. Hager, 86, of Nova, died Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Lutheran Village in Ashland. She was born January 6, 1926 in Willard, daughter of the late Rolla and Mable (Wolf) Heisler.
