He served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Tim worked for Ford Motor in Lorain and Avon Lake for 42 years. During his spare time, he enjoyed coaching his daughters’ softball games. Tim and Kathy enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach and the Florida Gulf coast. His interests included watching the Cleveland Indians and small engine repair. He never turned anyone away. He was kind and generous to everyone he met. He had many friends. He loved and adored his family. He was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (nee Ross) of Sheffield Lake; daughters, Kristen (Ben) Dore’ of Sheffield Lake, Kelly Kukes of Sheffield Lake, Lisa Kukes and her companion, Kris Guenther of Lorain; son, Doug (Jane) Kukes of Elyria; grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, Elliot and Brandon; and a sister, Darlene Judith (Raymond) Stahl of Vermilion. In addition to his parents, Barney and Doris (nee Fleming) Kukes, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Walter and Marilyn. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 2, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 P.M., at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be Friday August 3, 2012, 11 A.M., at the funeral home. The Reverend Mark Brogan will officiate. Interment will follow at Birmingham Cemetery, where the Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military honors. The family suggests memorial contributions to Vietnam Veterans Association, P.O.
