Steven L. “Rico” Pruchinsky, 39, of Elyria, died Saturday, September 1, 2012. He was born November 9, 1972, in Amherst, and had been a lifelong Elyria area resident. Rico worked as a tattoo artist and roofer in the area. He attended Lorain County Community College and enjoyed spending time with his cousins, nieces and nephews. Rico always said, “He won’t die until his last tattoo is gone.” He is survived by his son, Steven L. Pruchinsky, Jr. of Elyria; mother, Doreen (Masoud) Al-Ameeri of Elyria; brothers, Michael, (Jackie) Al-Ameeri of Amherst, Jassim Al-Ameeri of Elyria and Jason Maldonado of California; sisters, Mariam Al-Ameeri of Kuwait and Stephanie Maldonado of California; and paternal grandparents, Louis and Marie Maldonado of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his father, Estaban Maldonado; girlfriend, Angela Brown; maternal grandparents, Jacob and Connie Pruchinsky; and cousins, Preston Hall and Derick Garcia. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 6, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at the Gluvna- Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 7, 2012, at 3 P.M., in the funeral chapel. The Reverend Danny Parsons, Pastor of Church of the New Harvest in Elyria, will officiate.
