George worked for General Industries Corp. as a foreman for 41 years, before retiring. He was a life member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Avon and enjoyed raising Shetland ponies, breeding birds and other exotic animals. He was a friend and neighbor to everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (nee McIntire) in 1977; and second wife, Mary Louise (nee Lescher) in 1988. He was also preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna (nee Sorg); and brothers, Richard, Walter, and Raymond “Mutt”. He is survived by his sons, George E. Miller of Amarillo, Texas, Gerald (Ruth) of Carroll, Ohio; stepsons, Jim Marsh (Sandy) of Avon and Greg (Betsy) Marsh of Renton, Washington; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon, Monday July 16, 2012, from 9 A.M., until time of an 11 A.M. Mass, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Avon. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.George L.
